Lesson 45

Today’s Business Slang is “Keitsune”.

When I was freshman in the company, my boss mentioned “Keitsune” many times and I was wondering what “Keitsune” means.

“Keitsune” means “Keijyou Rieki (Ordinary Profit)”.

In Kanji, “経常利益”.

The pronunciation of “常” is “jyou” by On-yomi, but “Tsune” by Kun-yomi.

That is why many people use “Keitsune” instead of “Keijyou Rieki”.

Please, remember it.

Thank you.
